Stéphane Ruffier celebrated his 300th game in Ligue 1 last week-end against OM (2-2). Loïc Perrin celebrated his 400th game with the Verts against Angers (1-0). Both players, like the whole green defence help the team in order to get a fundamental win in Angers. This is the third win in the last four games, an excellent trend for Jean-Louis Gasset’s men before challenging Lyon, next week in the Parc OL stadium.
As he did against Toulouse (2-0) and in Amiens (2-0), Stéphane Ruffier did an outstanding performance against SCO Angers. He just conceded two goals in the last month…
Even if Angers dominated part of the game, the Verts never gave up and took benefit of a mistake of the opponent goalkeeper, Ludovic Butelle. ASSE Slovenian striker Robert Beric scored the only goal of the game (79) and offered his team three important points in the League table. «Everybody fought, our state of mind was remarkable », said Mathieu Debuchy after the game. An excellent result before the next difficult game…
