Eirik Horneland : "An open game"

Ahead of the match against Rennes (Saturday, 9.05pm), the coach spoke to the press about the ‘open game’ that lies ahead at "le Chaudron".

Update on the squad

We've been spared the flu this week. Aïmen Moueffek has been training normally since the start of the week and I think he'll be able to do more next week. Maxime Bernauer is not available for this match. He took a blow to his knee before he arrived, which isn't much, but he needs to recover.

Rennes

This is a club with good players and a new coach who started his adventure with a win over Strasbourg. I think they'll come in with confidence. They're a strong team with some very good players who will do everything they can to get out of the danger zone quickly. We'll have to be at our best if we hope to make something of ourselves.

The game coming up

At home, we're a team that's picking up points. We're hoping to build on that. It'll be a game between two teams with two different plans, but who both need points. Each has its own specific characteristics. It should be an open game.

The return of the Kops

I'm delighted! We know how important the Kops are at Geoffroy-Guichard. We're going to make sure we connect with them right from the start of this match, give them the opportunity to push behind the players and get some energy from them.
