Goalless match for the Reserve
ASSE and Hauts Lyonnais played out a goalless draw as the National 3 championship resumed (0-0)
Razik Nedder's side returned from the winter break and, after their last win at the leaders in 2024, were unable to do better than a 0-0 draw at home to Hauts Lyonnais on their return to National 3 action. After a first half that the Loire coach considered too timid, Les Verts dominated possession in the second half, but lacked the attacking options to take the lead. Faced with an opponent that was well organised at the back, the young Verts had to be content with a draw at the end of a close encounter that was fraught with contact.
The coach's reaction
'We're obviously disappointed, even though we were expecting a tight game,’ admitted Razik Nedder. 'We lacked the attacking firepower to capitalise on the few chances we had. The key to the game was in the first half, when we didn't put in enough intensity to tire them out. We had a very young team once again, with the physical deficit that comes with that, but I didn't think we lacked impact.’
