Les Verts go from strength to strength!
At the top of their league for several weeks, Saint-Etienne's U17Ns confirmed their status at Lyon-La Duchère (0-3).

David Le Moal insisted after last weekend's 4-0 win over JS Ajaccio that the trip to La Duchère was an important one ahead of a series of games against play-off contenders. The message was perfectly received by Les Verts, who ended up coming out on top against Lyon. Never really troubled and having played a very good second half, Les Stéphanois recorded a resounding 0-3 victory.
Rayan Aït Amer opened the score at the end of the first quarter of an hour on a cross from Noham Aini (Lyon-La Duchère 0-1 ASSE, 18th). After the break, the decisive passer, Noham Aini, took advantage of Mylan Toty's work to double the lead (Lyon-La Duchère 0-2 ASSE, 50th). Mylan Toty finally won a penalty on the hour mark, setting up Rayan Aït Amer for a brace (Lyon-La Duchère 0-3 ASSE, 63rd). ASSE could even have added to their lead thanks to several other clear-cut chances, but this time they failed to capitalise! But the main thing is still assured! Les Verts remain ten points clear of second-placed Monaco.
The coach's reaction
‘We started the game well. We were a bit timid in the first half, but the second half was very good. Everything went quicker and we created a lot of chances! We could have scored more goals, and that's where we can improve: by punishing our opponents even more. But I also expect us to do what we're supposed to do from the start of the game, just like we did in the second half today.'
