Loic Perrin : "Enjoy ourselves "
The Stéphanois captain wants to have a great, last game in the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, which will be filled for the reception of LOSC (Saturday, 9pm).
What will your approach be for the last match of the season?
Our first objective is to win. After, we’ll have to wait for the results of the other team because we’re no longer the master of our own destiny in regards of a qualification for the Europa League. We’ll try to win this last match in a full stadium.
What must you do in order to finish the 2017-2018 season on a good note?
We’re going to try to find what made us do well before and get rid of what’s been making us perform not as well lately. And, above all, we’re going to enjoy ourselves. We have an objective in mind but we could have been in store for a much worse match. A few months ago, when looking at the calendar, certain people were saying that we would have to maintain our Ligue 1 status during this match.
This season was rich in twists and turns. How did you get through it?
It was an extraordinary season because rarely will a team be so low in the rankings during the break but play for a Europa League qualification at the end of the season. Even if 5th place is now impossible for us. We’ve experienced all sorts of emotions. The first part of the season was exhausting. After, we started enjoying ourselves again and gave some of this enjoyment back to the fans. I think that they needed it.
